You can get back everything that they withhold for federal income tax or state income tax. Medicare and Soc. Security are gone forever. You will not see that money again until you are 65. And probably not even then, because we will run out of social security by then. Your money is being spent by old people to get drunk and buy ugly clothes. This is why I wish we would privatize Soc.Sec. already, it's the only way to guarantee that we will ever see this money again - I like the idea of a government sponsered retirement program better than the idea of slicing into my paychecks now when I will have to probably live in a home when I'm old. Why anyone under the age of forty would oppose this is beyond me...the only possible explanation is that people have attached the terms "democrat" and "republican" to the two sides of the issue, which is dumb. Nobody ever said you had to agree with everything up and down the line...if something's good for you, support it across the aisle, and it will happen. Cuz we young people need our MONEY.
